    Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik

    Chairman of Energy Asia

    Tengku Muhammad Taufik is the President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS). He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Finance & Accounting from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

    He currently oversees board stewardship in several PETRONAS subsidiaries and is on the board of various international and industry-related organisations. He is Co-Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Oil & Gas Governors Community, and the WEF ASEAN Leaders for Just Energy Transition Community. He is also the Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.

    In 2023, he was conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Setia Mahkota (P.S.M.) which carries the title “Tan Sri,” in recognition of his services to Malaysia.

    Datuk Dr. Ching Thoo A/L Kim

    Secretary General, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES)

    Datuk Dr. Ching Thoo a/l Kim is currently the Secretary General of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability. He has been serving the Malaysian Government as an Administrative and Diplomatic Service Officer for 29 years where he started as an Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Malaysia in 1995. Later, he was promoted to Principal Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Energy, Water and Communications, where he was tasked to spearhead the national water restructuring initiative.

    From 2012 until 2014, Datuk Dr. Ching was appointed as the Under Secretary of Biofuel Division and the Head of Corporate Communication Unit at the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities. From 2014 until 2023, he led the Water and Sewerage Division at three different ministries, namely the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, the Ministry of Water, Land and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Environment and Water.

    Datuk Dr. Ching graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Mass Communication from the National University of Malaysia in 1990 and a Master of Science in Communication Technology from University Putra Malaysia in 2003. He also holds a PhD in Water Governance from Wageningen University in the Netherlands in 2012.

    Over the years, his career was largely centred on public policy, project governance and monitoring, finance and budgetary. He has received numerous Excellent Service Awards, the highest of which were the Panglima Mahkota Wilayah (P.M.W.) which was bestowed on him in 2024 by the The King of Malaysia and Darjah Dato’ Setia Diraja Kedah (D.S.D.K.) which was bestowed on him in 2024 by the Sultan of Kedah.  

    Datuk Dr. Ching is married to Datin Duangrat and they are blessed with two children. He enjoys cycling and badminton during his free time.

    Tan Sri Zakri Abdul Hamid

    Founding Chair

    Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES)

    Zakri Abdul Hamid is a Founding Director and Distinguished Professor at International Institute for Science Diplomacy & Sustainability at UCSI University, Malaysia and currently holds the distinction of being the fifth holder of the Tun Hussein Onn Chair in International Studies at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies, Malaysia. He is chairman of Atri Advisory, a consulting company advising governments and international organisations on sustainable development and is currently the Pro- Chancellor of two universities in Malaysia, namely Universiti Perguruan Sultan Idris (UPSI) in Tanjung Malim and Multimedia University in Cyberjaya. He is the joint- chairmen of the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), chairman of the Business Council on Sustainable Development, Malaysia and Chairman of the National Biodiversity Roundtable.

    He was the Science Adviser to the Prime Minister of Malaysia and former Director of the Institute of Advanced Studies, United Nations University. He is the founding Chair of the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) and former member of the UN Secretary-General’s Scientific Advisory Board. Zakri is one of the original negotiators of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity. He is an emeritus member of the Global Leadership Council of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN); former member of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Scientific Advisory Board and presently a vice-chair of the governing council of the UN Technology Bank for Least Developed Countries. Recent appointments include ambassador and science advisor to the Campaign for Nature and founding fellow, International Science Council. Zakri is a senior fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia.

    Prof Dr Zakri is also presently the Chairman of Atri Advisory, a consultancy company advising governments, regional bodies and international organisations on science and technology for sustainable development, conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity. He is also spearheading the Wyss Foundation and National Geographic’s Campaign for Nature 30×30 initiatives in the ASEAN region as the ambassador and science advisor.

    As a scientist, educator and researcher Tan Sri Zakri has made a lasting contribution to the observation, analysis, and assessment of global biodiversity and ecosystem services. In doing so he has fostered the remediation and protection of the natural environment and promoted environmental sustainability.

    Tan Sri Zakri’s achievements, particularly in his global role in championing environmental issues has highlighted, to the wider community, Malaysia’s efforts in the realm of sustainable development. A passionate advocate for sustainable development he recognises that “sustainable development for Malaysia is poverty elimination – it is about promoting human well-being.”

    While he maintains that “science, technology and innovation can be an engine for our economic development” Tan Sri Zakri is also a strong believer that “development must be tempered with a respect for the environment.” He has led efforts to develop a global assessment of biodiversity and its ecosystem services to provide scientific relevant policy advice for world leaders. His contribution has at its core an inclusive and integrated methodology and approach, a global perspective, and a long-term vision that has and will lead to further development. In this regard, his unerring commitment to protecting the natural environment and promoting environmental sustainability personifies the Spirit of Merdeka and its pursuit of excellence and contribution to the Nation.

    Zakri’s professional interests include crop science, biodiversity and science diplomacy. He has received numerous awards: Fulbright-Hays Fellowship (1981); Rotary Research Foundation Gold Medal Award (1999); ISSAAS Matsuda Award (2013); ASEAN Meritorious Service Award (2014); Zayed International Prize for the Environment (2014); the Academy of Science of South Africa Distinguished Visiting Scholar Award (2015); Merdeka Award for the environment category (2015); the Midori Prize for Biodiversity Award (2018); Global Competitiveness Award conferred by the Global Federation of Competitiveness Council, Washington DC (2017); ASEAN Biodiversity Hero Award (2017); Most Eminent Brand Laureate Award (2019); United Nations Malaysia Award (Environmental Sustainability) (2019); and Anugerah Akademik Negara (2019).

    In January 2017, the US-based “Biofuel Digest”, an influential industry magazine has hailed him as one of the “Top 100 Influential Persons in the Advanced Bioeconomy 2017”.

    In Malaysia, he has been conferred rank of Senior Fellow by the Academy of Sciences Malaysia with the title of “Academician” (2015); Honorary Doctorate in Science, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (2013), Honorary Doctorate in Biotechnology, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (2013) Honorary Doctorate in Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia (2015); Honorary Doctorate in Science, University of Nottingham (2015). Also, conferred with a Datukship (1991); Dato’ Sri (2012) and a ‘Tan Sri’ (2014).

    Three species have been named after Zakri: a beetle (Paleosepharia zakrii), a cicada (Pomponia zakrii) and a pitcher plant (Nepenthes zakriana).

    Adrian Lasimbang is an Indigenous rights advocate, renewable energy expert, He co-founded TONIBUNG, a social enterprise focused on developing community-based renewable energy systems, particularly micro-hydro and solar mini-grids, to electrify remote Indigenous villages in Malaysia. With over 20 years of experience, Adrian has led projects advancing sustainable community development, energy access, and capacity building among Indigenous communities. A former Malaysian Senator (2018–2021), advocates for environmental sustainability and youth empowerment.

    Datuk Adzmir Abd. Rahman

    Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn. Bhd.

    Datuk Adzmir Abd. Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of Sabah Energy Corporation (SEC), one of the largest natural gas provider in Malaysia.

    He holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) and a Master’s in Business Administration.

    Before joining SEC, he started his career in 1998 as an Assistant Mill Manager at Sawit Kinabalu Berhad, and in 2000, he joined an independent power producer (IPP) as an Operation Engineer.

    Datuk Adzmir Abd. Rahman joined SEC in 2003 as a Planning Engineer and swiftly advanced through the ranks. As Technical Services Manager in 2009, he was instrumental in developing Malaysia’s first Virtual Pipeline System.

    Promoted to Head of Business Development and Gas Trading in 2013, he played a key role in establishing the first LNG facilities outside Bintulu in Sabah. By 2019, as Deputy CEO, he led the development of SEC Large Scale Solar, driving the company’s renewable energy initiatives.

    Beyond his role at SEC, he also serves as a director at various prominent companies, including Asian Supply Base Sdn Bhd, Ranhill Sabah Energy Sdn Bhd, and SEC Gas Sdn Bhd.

    Datuk Adzmir is also a member of the Industry Advisory Panel for Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and a recipient of the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) President’s Award, in recognition of his leadership and contributions to safety and industry advancement.

    Allyson Anderson Book

    Baker Hughes

    Allyson Anderson Book is the Chief Sustainability Officer at Baker Hughes (NASDAQ: BKR), an energy technology company that provides solutions for energy and industrial customers worldwide.

    In this role she oversees Baker Hughes’ net-zero strategy by driving sustainable operations, supporting commercial energy transition solutions for customers, and ensuring market creation of these solutions via stakeholder engagement and policy development.

    Before joining Baker Hughes, Allyson served as the executive director of the American Geosciences Institute, and has held several academic, policy and senior government positions, including working for the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and serving as the associate director of strategic engagement of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) at the U.S. Department of the Interior.

    Under her aegis, Baker Hughes has been awarded United Nations Global Impact Award in 2024 for its commitment in advancing sustainable development goals. Allyson is frequently covered by media and globally recognized for her contribution to energy transition and sustainability. She was recently honored by Hart Energy as an ‘Agent of Change in Energy’ for its 50th anniversary Hall of Fame series honoring industry pioneers, named “Sustainability Leader of the Year (energy technology) by C-Suite 2024, and was the only CSO to be listed among “Top 10 Energy Leaders in the Americas” by Energy Digital. Allyson was also among top 50 powerful women – Power 50 – by National Diversity Council, honored at one of the largest diversity conferences in USA. In addition, she has been recognized by Petroleum Economist among Top 10 Women Leading Energy Transition in Sustainability and by Oil & Gas Investor as among 25 Influential Women in Energy.

    Amy Sellers

    Lead Nature Strategist

    Amy Sellers is the Lead Nature Strategist at NatureMetrics, where she supports organizations across the energy, finance, and natural resource sectors to integrate nature into decision-making through risk assessment, strategy development, and biodiversity monitoring frameworks. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between ecological science, regulatory expectations, and operational realities.

    With a background spanning both the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors, Amy has worked with operators to assess nature-related risks across global portfolios, develop biodiversity accounting approaches, and interpret emerging standards such as TNFD and CSRD in practical terms. She has worked previously with IOGP and has supported the application of nature strategies in a range of project and policy contexts.

    Before joining NatureMetrics, Amy held roles in climate and nature risk at Deloitte and Bank of America, where she focused on scenario analysis, green finance, and credit risk modelling. She holds an MSc in Climate Science & Policy, a BSc in Mathematics, and is a certified Climate Risk Professional (GARP) and Chartered Green & Sustainable Finance professional (CISI).

    Andrew Zolli

    Andrew oversees the sustainable development, humanitarian, and human rights portfolio at Planet, a breakthrough space and AI organization that has deployed the largest constellation of Earth-observing satellites in history. Together, these satellites image the entire surface of the Earth, every day, in high resolution. When analysed with advanced AI techniques, this imagery has transformational value for addressing a host of global challenges, including monitoring peace and conflict, improving agriculture, delivering sustainable development, ensuring human rights, predicting food insecurity, fostering climate emissions monitoring and resilience, delivering disaster response, and improving biodiversity conservation, among many others.

    Artemis Kostareli

    Director for Nature

    Ipieca

    Artemis Kostareli is the Director for Nature in Ipieca overseeing the environment portfolio which covers biodiversity and ecosystems services, water management issues as well as other environmental topics such as impact assessments. She has been engaging with various stakeholders including UNEP, CBD etc., non-governmental organizations and other industry associations on environmental issues pertained to the oil and gas industry. She has represented Ipieca to numerous UN meetings and international events such as SPE HSE promoting the good environmental practice for the industry. In 2024, she was seconded at Shell as a Biodiversity Advisor, where she worked on biodiversity projects in the North Sea and supported with biodiversity related regulatory reporting and disclosure requirements.

    Artemis joined Ipieca in July 2012 as a Manager for Fuels and Products and Supply Chain, later she added Health, a joint activity with IOGP. Prior to Ipieca, she worked for carbon consultancies delivering sustainability support to a variety of organisations. Artemis holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and an Advanced Diploma in Oil, Gas and Energy Management from London School of Economics.

    Brian Sullivan

    Brian joined Ipieca as the Chief Executive Officer in 2011 following a 23 year career in bp. He graduated in Metallurgy and Materials Science from Imperial College, London, UK and was recruited into bp’s Refining and Marketing international graduate programme in 1986.

    During his time with bp he has had a varied career of technical, commercial, financial and leadership roles across the downstream value chain including crude and products trading, marine fuels, lubricants and alternative energy.

    During his tenure at Ipieca, he has overseen the growth of the Association and leads their contribution to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Paris Agreement and the Energy Transition. 2022 saw the launch of the Ipieca Principles, a new condition of membership promoting support for UN agreements and practices that align with them.

    She has deep expertise in sustainable finance, asset management, investment banking, commercial banking, corporates, central banks, exchanges, fintech and data.

    Candice has extensive global sales, business development, customer and strategy execution leadership experience across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

    She is passionate about connecting ecosystem partners and stakeholders for greater impact and has established networks across financial services, developing and mature markets, and public and private sector.

    Candice lives in Johannesburg and enjoys traveling, nature, trail running and trekking.

    Dr. Cheng Chen

    Programme Director, Nature Watch Programme

    Shan Shui Conservation Centre

    Dr. Cheng Chen is Program Director of the Nature Watch Program, in Shan Shui Conservation Center. Her main focus is about wildlife conservation and biodiversity mainstreaming.

    She is in charge of the China Nature Watch Program of Shan Shui Conservation Center since 2019, focusing on and dedicated to promoting the mainstreaming of biodiversity conservation in planning, investment, environmental assessment, and corporate behavior through multiple perspectives including biodiversity database, technological empowerment, scientific research, and policy advocacy. Her particular focus is on synergizing the renewable energy development with biodiversity conservation in the context of energy transition.

    She has a background of wildlife conservation biology, and has been engaged in the conservation of snub-nosed monkeys and snow leopards since 2008, working on the molecular ecology of Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys, as well as the landscape conservation of snow leopards and wildlife genetics monitoring in the Sanjiangyuan Region. She has been deeply involved in and coordinated the promotion of the development of China’s Snow Leopard Conservation Network since 2015.

    Clara Johnston

    Clara Johnston is an Account Manager at NatureMetrics, where she supports clients in Energy sector to integrate eDNA-based biodiversity monitoring into their environmental strategies. Her work focuses on enabling effective and scalable data collection to support activities such as Environmental Impact Assessments, Baseline Surveys, and Biodiversity Action Plans, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate sustainability goals.

    With extensive experience delivering multi-stakeholder biodiversity initiatives across NGOs, government bodies, and private sector partners, Clara advises clients on project design, field logistics, and the interpretation of biodiversity data to inform responsible development and nature-positive decision-making. Prior to joining NatureMetrics, she worked on fisheries policy development in the UK and led community-based marine monitoring programs across various global sites.

    Clara holds an MSc in Marine Environmental Management and a BSc in Biology. She brings a strong understanding of marine and coastal ecosystems, stakeholder engagement, and science communication—helping energy sector clients translate ecological data into actionable insights across the project lifecycle.

    Edwin Hartanto

    Giulia Sartori

    Senior General Manager, Nature, Corporate Sustainability

    Giulia Sartori is a seasoned professional in corporate sustainability and environmental management, currently serving as Senior General Manager (Nature) at PETRONAS, leading initiatives to support net-zero ambitions through nature-based solutions. Previously, Giulia held the position of Global Head of Carbon at Agoro Carbon Alliance, where the focus was on empowering farmers to sequester carbon through innovative practices. As the Founder and CEO of Mia Chia Snack, Giulia established Indonesia’s leading company producing natural, vegan snacks, promoting a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, Giulia has extensive experience in international development, having worked with the Global Green Growth Institute to advance green growth strategies in Indonesia and held various roles in carbon project management at Danish Energy Management and Sindicatum Carbon Capital. Giulia’s educational background includes an Executive MBA from Harvard Business School, an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Development Economics from SOAS University of London.

    Hendrik Rosenthal

    Director, Group Sustainability

    Hendrik is responsible for the CLP Group’s sustainability-focused strategy, reporting and engagement. He supports the senior management in sustainability and climate-related risk management and advises on a range of sustainability matters of the Group’s power business in the Asia-Pacific region, including carbon markets, sustainability reporting standards, and compliance.

    With more than 20 years of experience in sustainability and environmental management across the public, private and NGO sectors, Hendrik previously led research and consulting projects in Canada, Hong Kong and Singapore.

    He currently sits on several sustainability-related committees, including as a director of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), and as a member of the IFRS Sustainability Reference Group. In Hong Kong, he serves as a member of the Sustainability Disclosure Standards Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), Co-Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham HK) Sustainability Committee, and a member of the Environment and Sustainability Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC).

    Jennifer Turner

    Energy Director

    Equitable Origin

    Jennifer Turner serves as Energy Director for Equitable Origin, a charity dedicated to protecting people and the environment by ensuring energy development adheres to the highest social and environmental standards. About 15% of North American gas production is certified under their EO100 standard, which has recently launched frameworks for wind and solar energy.

    Jennifer’s experience ranges from work as an exploration geoscientist to over a decade of experience of geological drilling supervision on drilling rigs, as one of the first women to fill the role.

    Today, she is a subject matter expert in operational health and safety and gender-based impacts of resource development. Jennifer’s career has focused heavily on alternative approaches in energy development, including LNG, CCUS, biofuels, and hydrogen, as well as work to deliver Canada’s first Indigenous-led intercultural solar training program and installation. Her leadership in major projects includes work to support Indigenous ownership of the Trans Mountain Pipeline and work to advance the creation of a fleet of low noise, low emissions (electric/LNG powered) tankers in Canada.

    Jennifer is also a board director and Vice President of the Canadian Heavy Oil Association. She holds science degrees in biology and earth sciences from Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada.

    Jennifer’s previous work focuses on alternative approaches in energy development, including LNG, CCUS, biofuels, and hydrogen, as well as work to deliver Canada’s first intercultural solar training program and a live solar installation with Louis Bull Tribe. Her leadership in major projects includes work to support Indigenous ownership of the Trans Mountain Pipeline, as well as work to advance the creation of a fleet of low noise (DNV Silent Classification), low emissions (electric/LNG powered) tankers in Canada.

    Jennifer is a board director and Vice President of the Canadian Heavy Oil Association. She holds science degrees in biology and earth sciences from Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada.

    Ken Chiu

    Head of Carbon and ESG Products

    Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX)

    Ken Chiu serves as Head of Carbon & ESG Products at HKEX since 2022, responsible for fostering the Carbon & ESG product businesses for the exchange. He has led the team to successfully establish and launch the first brand new voluntary carbon marketplace at HKEX in recent years.

    Mr Chiu has more than 17 years of experience in the industry. He has worked in various functional areas including structuring and marketing positions in global markets of investment banks in both Hong Kong SAR and Mainland China. He has also been actively engaging in RMB internationalisation and cross-border business activities since 2009.

    Mr Chiu joined HKEX in 2018. Prior to his current role, Mr. Chiu was Senior Vice President of Fixed Income and Currency (FIC) Development responsible for FIC derivative and bond listing businesses at HKEX. He holds an MSc in Mathematics for Finance and Actuarial Science from the Université Paris-Dauphine and a BBA in Finance from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

    Karen Westley

    Vice President, Sustainability

    Karen is a senior leader in ESG and corporate sustainability in the energy sector and is skilled in business approaches to climate change, greenhouse gas management, environmental practices, social performance, social investment, small business development, energy access and NGO partnering.

    Karen joined Shell in 2005 where she is VP Sustainability, and has previously held a wide range of leadership positions spanning both sustainability and commercial areas. Her many career highlights have helped to robustly embed sustainability and nature into Shell’s Powering Progress strategy.

    Karen is also Shell’s liaison delegate to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and has been an IPIECA Executive Committee member for over 5 years. She serves on the Board of Tandem Global.

    Prior to Shell, Karen spent her early career working for CARE International, a large international humanitarian organisation, where she partnered with communities to develop and support resilient livelihoods in the context of natural disasters and armed conflict.

    Karen holds a BS in Human Biology from Stanford University and an MSc in Tropical Ecology from Yale University and is a certified executive coach.

    Dr. Karim Haggar

    Roland Berger

    Dr. Karim Haggar is part of the sustainability team at Roland Berger’s Dubai office and has accumulated about 10 years of experience in strategy consulting across Canada, the US, and the Middle East. He joined Roland Berger in 2022.

    His work at Roland Berger focuses on conservation, biodiversity, circularity, ESG strategy, and other sustainability-related topics. In addition to his consulting role, Karim is an angel investor and mentor to green and social entrepreneurs. He previously co-founded and managed an award-winning business in sustainable and educational travel, based in Canada, which organized expeditions in over 30 countries across 5 continents.

    Karim holds a PhD in strategy and innovation management and has taught an entrepreneurship course at McGill University in Canada. He has also authored several publications on strategy, conservation, and sustainable travel.

    Katharine Tapley

    Katharine Tapley is Head of Sustainable Finance at ANZ. She leads a 30+ person team across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, and the US, which is responsible for supporting ANZ’s clients to finance their ESG strategies, net-zero transition and nature-positive outcomes.

    Her team delivers insights and originates solutions across sustainable finance markets, manages ANZ’s Sustainability Bond issuance program alongside ANZ Group Treasury, and contributes to ANZ’s $100b sustainable finance target. Her team also actively contributes to the development of sustainable finance markets across Asia Pacific via industry bodies including ICMA and APLMA.

    Katharine’s passion is supporting customers and the financial services industry to accelerate net-zero transition and sustainable development. She is currently serving on the Australian Government’s Nature Finance Council and is an inaugural Board member of the Australian Sustainable Finance Institute, which is overseeing the development of a sustainable finance taxonomy for the Australian market. She served on the Board of Australia’s Carbon Market Institute from July 2016 – to July 2022.

    In recognition of her contribution to the industry, Katharine was included in Financial Standard’s inaugural ESG Power50 in 2023, and in The Australian ‘Green List’ in 2021, 2022, and 2023. In 2020, she won Australia’s inaugural Women in Banking and Finance Award for Excellence in Institutional Banking and is a 2019 Kanga News Person of the Year.

Kristie holds a master’s degree in Conservation from University College London (UCL) and a bachelor’s degree in Geography from Durham University.

    Libby Sandbrook is Director of Business & Nature at Fauna & Flora, the world’s oldest international conservation charity, working with partners in 46 countries. Libby leads Fauna & Flora’s work with the energy, mining and other sectors to transform business practices and achieve nature positive outcomes through their operations, supply chain and at a wider landscape level.

    Libby has a deep understanding of social and environmental sustainability, with over 25 years of experience work with business to address nature recovery, climate action, resource use, and water security. She joined Fauna & Flora from King Charles’s Responsible Business Network where, as England Director, she worked with senior business leaders to find solutions to shared environmental challenges. During her time there, Libby initiated several impactful collaborations including the Circular Economy Taskforce, The Prince of Wales’s Mayday Network for Climate Change, the Legal Sector Sustainability Alliance and an Inquiry into the Leadership Skills Needed for a Sustainable Economy.

    Matt Haddon

    Matt spearheads ERM’s global biodiversity, nature and water “voyager” consulting team: helping clients tackle the next big challenges of sustainability and resilience. His work blends business, digital and technical consulting at senior levels for major clients – bridging between operational performance and executive leadership. He is passionate about helping leaders make their organisations more successful and the world safer, cleaner and more equitable in the transition to a lower carbon economy.

    Based in Houston for the last 13 years, Matt started his ERM career in the UK in 1998 and has worked worldwide, from the boardroom to the front line across oil and gas, mining, finance and chem/pharma.

    Dr. Michael Nkambo Mugerwa

    Eng. Dr. Mugerwa is a Chemical Engineer, with over 36 years of technical and management experience in the global oil, gas and renewable energy industries.  His areas of expertise include executive leadership, ESG, process engineering, project management, project controls, procurement, safety, oil refinery technologies, fuel cell systems, and geothermal power projects.

    Eng. Dr. Mugerwa’s current responsibilities at the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) include program management on behalf of the State of the 60,000 bpd Uganda Refinery Project, as well as overseeing the development, operationalization and management of the Kabalega Petro-based Industrial Park in the Albertine Graben of Western Uganda.  He joined the Uganda National Oil Company in early 2017.

    He gained his Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK. His past employers include the global engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors, Technip Energies and Jacobs Engineering, from various locations in The Netherlands, Italy, Canada and the USA.  He is a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (UK) and has a practicing license with the Engineers Registration Board, Uganda.

    Mohamad Irwan Aman

    Mr. Mohamad Irwan Bin Aman is the General Manager of Sustainability at Sarawak Energy Berhad, with over 25 years of experience in the energy industry and clean energy financing sector. His expertise includes research and development, environmental impact assessments, feasibility studies, project financing, technical and financial due diligence, and auditing within the energy and clean energy sectors.

    In his current role, Mr. Irwan is responsible for the development and execution of sustainability strategies that align with Sarawak Energy’s values and contribute to its long-term business goals. He also serves as a Board Member of the United Nations Global Compact Malaysia & Brunei Network (UNGCMYB), representing Sarawak Energy, and is a Committee Member of the Malaysia Carbon Market Association (MCMA).

    Prior to his tenure at Sarawak Energy, Mr. Irwan served as a Consultant for Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd. from 2008 to 2011, and held various positions at Tenaga Nasional Berhad from 1998 to 2008. In addition, he served as a Technical Advisor to Pusat Tenaga Malaysia and the Malaysia Green Technology Corporation from 2004 to 2011.

    Mr. Irwan holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration (Finance).

    Nahjan Amer Nordin​

    Nahjan is a member of the central environment team in Shell plc focusing on corporate water management across a global portfolio since 2020. Recent key contributions in Shell include embedding external framework on water stewardship approach into the organization’s internal standards on water management and supporting efforts on analysing and improving water-related data that were recently published in Shell’s Annual Report & Accounts 2024. She is also currently active in Ipieca as co-chair of Water in the Value Chain Task Force, with prior contribution as the former co-chair of Water Stewardship Task Force where she led the publication of Ipieca’s guidance document on water stewardship, published in December 2024. Nahjan is currently based out of Kuala Lumpur and is formally trained as an environmental engineer, having obtained her bachelor’s from Drexel University and master’s degree from Stanford University, both in the United States.

    He has more than 25 years in energy industry with experience of general management, operations and project management. Experience covers company general management, field operations, project management and contract management that has resulted in the development of organizational and communication skills of high order.

    He joined Eni in 2000. Graduated in Industrial Engineering, he started his professional growth in the company in Technical and Safety Audit and subsequently in Facilities Engineering and Project Management. In 2004 it was appointed Project Manager of the Kashagan oil and gas development project responsible for Detailed Design and Execution of major packages.

    In 2008 he was posted in the position of Project Control Manager for the overall Kashagan project, responsible for overall project integrated planning, cost estimating, cost control, risk management and assurance.

    After returning to Italy in 2010, he was appointed Vice President Oil & Gas Upstream Development Project Services as lead of the development project services for all Eni world wide.

    In 2012 he moved to Nigeria in the role of Director (General Manager Projects Development) of all Eni’s oil and gas projects in the country both onshore and offshore.

    In 2014 he returned to the HQ Operations Department with the role of Vice President Upstream Logistics Services.

    In 2015 he was appointed Operations Director & Deputy Managing Director of Eni Iraq, that operates the Zubair giant oil field.

    In 2018 he was appointed Managing Director of Agip Caspian Sea, shareholder of the Kashagan venture, and from April 2019 he has taken also the role of Managing Director of Eni Isatay which manages Eni exploration activities in the Caspian Sea.

    In April 2021 ha was appointed Managing Director of Eni UK Limited, which is developing the Hynet Carbon Capture and Storage project in North West England and Nort of Wales and which operates the Liverpool Bay oil and gas field and the Hewett gas field and is shareholder of the Elgin Franklin and J-area fields.

    In October 2022 he was appointed Head of Natural Resources Contract Management in Eni Head Office in charge of global Eni’s upstream contract management assuring functional lead to all Eni’s subsidiaries worldwide.

    In May 2024 he was appointed Head of Agri Business in charge of Global Eni’s business for bio feedstock organic production for Eni’s biorefineries. He is President and CEO of Eni Natural Energies SpA, which is the Eni’s company which runs the bio feedstock business. He is Chairman of Eni Natural Energies Mozambique, Eni Natural Energies Congo, Eni Natural Energies Kenya, Eni Natural Energies Vietnam, and Eni Natural Energies Indonesia.

    Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad

    Author of Saving the Planet

    Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad is Malaysia’s Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) and Member of Parliament for Setiawangsa. He is also the Vice-President of the People’s Justice Party (KEADILAN).

    A law graduate from King’s College London, he was being elected as Selangor State Assemblyman for Seri Setia in the 2008 General Elections. He was appointed as the Political Secretary to the then Selangor Chief Minister.

    He then became Deputy Speaker for the Selangor State Legislative Assembly and then State Executive Councillor (State Minister).

    In the 2018 General Elections, he was elected to Malaysia’s Parliament, representing Setiawangsa.

    With the formation of the Unity Government, he was appointed Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change in 2022.

    He is the author of several books, including Malaysian Son: A Progressive’s Political Journey in the Heart of Southeast Asia and Saving the Planet: Climate and Environmental Lessons from Malaysia and Beyond.

    Nik Syahron Fauzi

    Nik is a Chartered Engineer and a Partner with ERM with over 24 years’ experience in technical safety, loss prevention, risk assessment, and safety auditing in the oil and gas sector. Prior to joining ERM, Nik served at a number of major oil and gas companies where he worked on greenfield and brownfield projects at conceptual, basic engineering, EPC phases.  He currently leads a team of 58 consultants in his role as SEA Health & Safety Service Line Lead for ERM, providing business and technical leadership and delivering high profile projects across the globe.

    Oi-Yee Choo

    Oi-Yee is a seasoned, visionary leader with a background spanning 25 years in financial markets. She brings a wealth of experience in building and leading high-performing businesses across sectors, with a proven track record in fintech, innovation and capital markets.

    Oi-Yee was most recently CEO of ADDX, a blockchain-based private capital markets exchange in Singapore licensed and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Under her leadership since 2020, ADDX strengthened its partnerships with global blue-chip companies and grew its platform to surpass US$1 billion in tokenised securities, one of the largest worldwide.

    Prior to ADDX, Oi-Yee spent over 20 years in investment banking, leading major capital markets transactions for clients across Asia, Europe and the US.

    Patricia Claverie

    Patricia has carried out the larger part of her professional career in the Oil and Gas industry, in a variety of commercial and operational management roles. She also worked for the telecommunications, banking and defence sectors.

    She spent the first half of her professional career with oilfield services companies SLB and Transocean, then joined TotalEnergies, where she has since held senior management positions in Drilling & Wells, Asset Management (Angola Block 32), Global Procurement, HSE for Gas Renewables and Power, Investment.

    In March this year, she was appointed TotalEnergies VP Environment & Societal.

    Pippa Howard

    Pippa Howard is Chief Nature Strategist at NatureMetrics and a recognized leader in biodiversity strategy. With over 30 years’ experience spanning conservation, impact assessment, and sustainability planning, she has worked with governments, industry, and financial institutions across more than 25 countries.

    Pippa specializes in biodiversity risk assessment, nature-positive strategy development, and the application of international standards such as the mitigation hierarchy, IFC Performance Standards, and lender environmental safeguards. She has led major nature-related initiatives in the oil and gas, mining, and renewables sectors including strategic partnerships with bp, Anglo American, eni, and Rio Tinto, designing frameworks for biodiversity net gain, offsets, and nature-based solutions.

    Prior to joining NatureMetrics, Pippa held leadership roles at Fauna & Flora International and the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, where she worked at the interface of science, policy, and corporate sustainability.

    She holds degrees in Zoology, Marine Biology, and International Development, and is a registered Professional Natural Scientist. Pippa serves on the boards of several global initiatives, including the Aluminum Stewardship Initiative and Wintershall Dea’s Sustainability Advisory Board.

    Rachel Asante-Owusu

    Rachel Asante-Owusu, is the Senior Programme Coordinator for Climate Change at IUCN.   A molecular biologist by training Rachel has been with IUCN for over 13 years.  Rachel leads IUCN’s global work on energy and nature, including supporting an accelerated transition to renewable energy that safeguards biodiversity and ecosystem services, as well as natural-resource dependent communities.

    IUCN is a membership union uniquely composed of both government and civil society organisations. It is a global authority on the status of the natural world and the measures needed to safeguard it.

    Sarah Bennett

    Sarah is responsible for the engagement of ambitious companies in the region on topics that include climate, nature, equity, circular economy and industrial transformation. She is also leading the ASEAN cohort of the Nature Reporting Preparer Forum, a regional capacity building program led by WBCSD, to help companies understand nature-related issues in their business using TNFD’s LEAP approach and other relevant tools and frameworks, leading to initial strategies and targets to manage risks and opportunities, and ultimately leading to improved nature disclosures.

    Sarah started her career as a hydraulic engineer with a specialisation in designing and constructing Nature-based Solutions for water resilience and climate adaptation. She later moved into the ESG technology space to support businesses in managing their sustainability data and metrics, to navigate a credible transition.

    Sophie is a nature specialist with a background as an ecologist, an MBA, and over 13 years of experience across energy, infrastructure, built environment and retail sectors. As a Director at Pollination, the focus of Sophie’s work is corporate nature strategy and road mapping, TNFD-aligned nature risk & opportunity assessment and disclosure preparedness, and work to leverage natural capital & accelerate the uptake of nature-based solutions.

    Sophie is also a Certified Environmental Practitioner and, before joining Pollination, was the Australasia Nature Service Leader at Arup, where she developed a comprehensive client-facing nature offering. Sophie’s work has historically been practical and hands-on, completing ecological field assessments, environmental assessments, approvals, and offsets for numerous projects across Australia, and in PNG.

    Dr. Wei-nee Chen

    Dr. Wei-nee Chen holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury, a Master of Business Administration from Universiti Tun Abdul Razak, and a Doctor of Business Administration from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.     Dr Wei-nee currently serves as a member of Industry Advisory Panel to the Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation, the Malaysian Photovoltaic Industry Association and Sunway University (PhD in Sustainable Development), a Deputy-Secretary to the Malaysia Carbon Market Association, a member of the REDD+ Finance Framework Advisory Committee, the National CORSIA Taskforce, the technical working group (TWG) of the World Bank Partnership for Implementation for Carbon Pricing Instrument (PMI CPI) and TWG of the National Policy on Carbon Market (DPKK).

    William combines deep technical knowledge of climate economics with strong stakeholder engagement to advance nature-based climate solutions across the globe.

    Prior to joining Pollination, William led Adelphi Consult’s Carbon Markets and Pricing team where he oversaw projects in climate policy design, implementation and evaluation for clients including the World Bank, European Commission, national governments, development banks and multi-national companies.

    As Head of the Secretariat of the International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP), William led ICAP’s technical work program, global capacity building efforts and moderated exchange of experience on carbon markets between senior policymakers from across 40 governments. He is a recognised expert and has been invited to provide evidence on climate policy to the European Court of Auditors, and has sat on several international project advisory boards.

    While with the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and the German Institute for Economic Research he advised government and industry on market-based instruments for climate mitigation, particularly for the power and emission-intensive sectors. His work has been published in leading academic journals.
