Appointed as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB) in January 2020. In June 2022, he assumed the title of Vice President while maintaining his leadership in PDB.
A PETRONAS scholar, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a double major in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania, United States of America (USA). He completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School in 2019.
With a career spanning 28 years, Azrul has held various key positions in PETRONAS, predominantly within the Downstream Business. These include MITCO’s first Indonesia Country Manager, Senior Manager for Business Development (Oil Portfolio) in PETRONAS’ Business Development Unit (BDU) and Business Director of Uzbekistan Gas to Liquid (GTL) LLC. Prior to his current role, Azrul was appointed as Head (Commercial Development & JV Formation) of PETRONAS Refinery and Petrochemical Corporation (PRPC) and took on an additional role as the MD/CEO of PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn. Bhd.
Currently, Azrul serves as a Board of Director for PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad and Chairman of PETRONAS Lubricants Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, roles he has held since January 2020. In 2021, he was appointed as Chairman of Setel Group of Companies and Mesra Retail & Café Sdn Bhd.

Clare Barker-White

Clare Barker-White is Global Head of the International Plays and Basins group within S&P Global Commodity Insights. The group delivers global basin-centric research focused on technical, commercial and strategic insights and upstream thought leadership. Clare joined S&P Global in 2017 as a basin researcher focused on the Asia-Pacific region. Subsequently, she led the Malaysia-based research team providing global basin content for the Upstream EDIN product.
Prior to joining S&P Global, she managed a reservoir services team, delivering technical expertise covering geophysical and global reservoir characterization workflows.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in geology from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, as well as a Master of Research and Ph.D. specializing in carbonate sedimentology from Royal Holloway University of London, United Kingdom.
Dave Ernsberger

Dave Ernsberger is co-President of S&P Global Commodity Insights and a member of S&P Global’s Executive Leadership Team.
Most recently, Mr. Ernsberger was Head of Market Reporting and Trading Solutions at S&P Global Commodity Insights. In that role, he was responsible for managing Platts commodity price benchmarks worldwide, including market reporting, news coverage and exchange relationships, from well-established markets like oil and gas through to emerging market environments like new Energy Transition commodities and recycled materials.
Prior to that, Mr. Ernsberger served in a variety of roles at Platts, including Head of Oil Content; Editorial Director for Asia (based in Singapore), and Houston Bureau Chief. He joined Platts in 1996 as a metals reporter in London, and launched coverage of Europe’s then-deregulating gas and electricity markets in 1999.
A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Mr. Ernsberger holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and politics from Warwick University, England, and a master’s degree in international relations from Southampton University, England.
Diane Holdorf

Diane Holdorf is Executive Vice President at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), where she leads the Pathways work to drive business-led transformation across key value chains in support of climate, nature, and equity goals.
Since joining WBCSD in 2018, she has helped shape global efforts to decarbonize systems and accelerate circularity through innovation and collaboration.
Previously, Diane was Chief Sustainability Officer at Kellogg and held senior roles at Delta Consultants, advising global companies on sustainability and environmental strategy.
She serves on several boards and advisory groups, including the World Benchmarking Alliance, EAT Forum, and WWF’s Senior Advisory Group for food system transformation.
Diane was named one of the “25 Badass Women Shaping Climate Action” by GreenBiz in 2022 and is an Oxfam Sisters on the Planet Ambassador.
She holds degrees in Public Communications and German from Syracuse University and an Executive MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
Dr. Peng Chengyao

Chengyao Peng leads China power and renewables research practice in S&P Global Commodity Insight. She specializes in power market fundamentals analysis and forecasting, power market design, policy analysis, company strategies, and technology trends. She regularly presents and moderates executive dialogs at prominent industry conferences, including CERAWeek, World Economic Forum and International Energy Executive Forum.
Based in Beijing, Dr. Peng brings 20 years of vast experience in multinational organizations, state owned enterprises, and government agencies. Before joining S&P Global, Dr. Peng spent 10 years at GE, both in the US and China, and took on various roles across energy businesses. She most recently served as strategy director in GE Renewable Energy, where she oversaw both commercial and product strategies in APAC. Before her GE tenure, Dr. Peng was the assistant general manager for eco technologies planning and investment at Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Investment and Development Co. Prior to that, she worked as a program manager at Singapore’s Public Utilities Board.
Dr. Peng holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Tongji University, China, a master’s degree in environmental science from Stanford University, California, and a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Beijing University of Technology, China.
Dr. Sun Xiansheng

Dr. Xiansheng Sun served as the fourth Secretary General of the International Energy Forum (IEF), holding diplomatic rank as head of mission. He earned his master’s, doctoral, and honorary doctoral degrees in Mineral Resources Law from the University of Dundee, UK. With an extensive career in energy policy and international cooperation, Dr. Sun previously held several senior leadership roles, including President of the CNPC Economics & Technology Research Institute, Founding President of the first batch of China’s national high-end think tanks (国家首批高端智库首任院长), Secretary General of the Asia Gas Market Forum (AGMF), Vice Chairman of the Northeast Asia Gas and Pipeline Forum (NAGPF), and Executive Vice Chairman of the Economics Committee of the Chinese Petroleum Society.
His advisory and governance roles span numerous prestigious organisations: Chairman of the Editorial Board for International Petroleum Economics; Chairman of China Petroleum Business News; Advisor to the China-Russia Vice-Premier Dialogue Mechanism; Expert for the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC); Member of the Strategic Committee of the Shanghai Futures Exchange; Founding Member of the London Energy Club; and Judge for the Global Energy Prize.

Dr. Sun has been a prominent figure in global energy dialogues, having participated in four G20 Energy Ministers’ Meetings, attended two Belt and Road Forums (chairing three energy roundtable sessions), hosted seven consecutive China International Import Expos (CIIE), and presided over the China Petroleum International Cooperation Forum and associated signing ceremonies. Additionally, he moderated five editions of the “Hello! Future Energy” Golden Microphone interview series for the energy publication under the People’s Daily.
His leadership in major international events includes organising and chairing the 15th and 16th IEF Ministerial Meetings (Algeria and India) and leading the 7th and 8th IEF Asian Energy Ministerial Meetings (Thailand and UAE).
With extensive hands-on experience in international energy projects, Dr. Sun has served as Chairman and General Manager for multiple CNPC overseas operations. He has actively engaged with key global energy organisations — including the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) — led negotiations for numerous international cooperation projects, delivered keynote speeches at major global conferences, and authored over 30 academic papers.

Gauri Jauhar

Gauri Jauhar is an Executive Director in S&P Global’s Energy Transition and Clean Tech Global Consulting team. Gauri’s primary focus is conceptualizing and leading the delivery of consulting projects in Indian energy – related to energy policy development, energy market opening, and utilizing global energy best practices to create a competitive Indian energy sector.
Her areas of specialization include the integration of new energy sources into the energy spectrum for companies and countries, financial and operational competitor benchmarking, energy pricing, market entry strategies, and energy policy development. She represents S&P Global in various industry bodies such as the US-India Gas Task Force and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum’s Renewable Energy Task Force.
Prior to joining S&P Global, Gauri was a Commercial Advisor in Gas Policy & Regulatory Affairs at BP in India. She was the gas policy lead for a multi-disciplinary team leading BP’s energy reform advocacy efforts in India. Before BP, Gauri was a Senior Consultant at PFC Energy (now part of S&P Global), leading PFC Energy’s Integrated Energy business in India and Singapore.
Gauri started her career as a Research Associate at the National Council of Applied Economic Research in New Delhi, analyzing macro-economic policy issues for the Indian economy. Her paper with DK Joshi on “India’s Macro-Stabilization Policy in 1990s: A Review and Assessment” was published in the book, “The Indian State in Transition.”
Gauri has an M.B.A. in Finance from The Johns Hopkins University, an M.S. in International Economics from Radford University and an M.A. in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. She has additional certifications in Climate Change Mitigation in Developing Countries (University of Cape Town, online), Economics of Clean Energy Transition (Stanford University, online), Design Thinking (IDEO University, online).

Hezlinn Fariss Idris is the Senior General Manager of Human Capital Development at PETRONAS and CEO of the PETRONAS Leadership Centre, where she leads the organisation’s talent development strategy.
Hezlinn began her career with PETRONAS in 2000 in the Finance department and has since held various leadership roles across audit, risk management, and strategic planning. With over 24 years of professional experience, she has demonstrated strong leadership and a deep understanding of the business. In 2022, she was appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PETRONAS Lubricants International Sdn Bhd (PLISB), where she led the global operations, manufacturing, and marketing of PETRONAS’ automotive and industrial lubricants, reaching customers in more than 100 countries.
Hezlinn holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & Accounting from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom, and is a Chartered Accountant accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). She has also served on the boards of several Refining, Marketing & Trading companies since 2007, and boards of PLISB.

Jane Lee Ching Shen

Jane has been with PETRONAS for the past 13 years and is currently the Custodian for Upstream Research at Strategic Research.
Her passion for all things gas and to be “at home” in Malaysia spurred her to join PETRONAS, after spending more than two decades as a financial journalist with international news agencies.
She was a financial journalist with international news agencies including Dow Jones, Reuters and Bloomberg, where she covered Asia Pacific economic developments, monetary and fiscal policies as well as being right at the centre of the Asian financial crisis’ news coverage when Southeast Asian currencies tumbled in 1997. Jane reported on the sacking of then Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, was caught in the Kg Baru weekend protests, and also the collapse of the Suharto regime in Indonesia brought on by the financial crisis.
As a journalist, the industries she has delved in detail into include the banking sector, the commodities sector and also trading for crude oil and LNG.
Jane graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Jenny Yang

Jenny leads a dynamic team dedicated to delivering critical insights, data, and analytics to empower clients to navigate and thrive in the rapidly evolving power and renewables markets across key global geographies. Based in Singapore, Ms. Yang brings a unique combination of cross-sector quantitative analysis and thought leadership with over 20 years of experience across gas and power markets in multiple continents. She regularly presents and moderates executive dialogs at prominent industry conferences, including CERAWeek, APPEC, Singapore International Energy Week, and International Energy Executive Forum.
Ms. Yang joined S&P Global in Beijing in 2011 as a power analyst and has since advanced through various leadership roles, including Head of China Gas and Power, Head of China Natural and Low-Carbon Gas, and Head of Asia LNG. Before her tenure at S&P Global, Ms. Yang served as Vice President of Pricing, Products, and Markets at Constellation NewEnergy, the largest power retailer in the US, based in Houston, Texas. She began her career as a Quantitative Analyst at Williams, where she developed forward-looking price and volatility curves for evaluating power-related assets.
Fluent in English, Chinese, and Vietnamese, she holds a Bachelor of Business and Administration and a Master of Business and Administration from the University of Oklahoma, United States.
Kaori Tachibana

Kaori is a Director within the Carbon and Scenarios team at S&P Global Commodity Insights based in Tokyo. She brings cross-sector expertise across the gas, power and metals and mining over her 15 year career. She is responsible for the development of S&P Global Commodity Insight’s scenarios outlook, exploring alternative outcomes for global energy industries and GHG emissions. Her focus is on Asia pacific, evaluating policy and technology trends to understand the energy transition pathway for Asia.
Previously at Accenture, Kaori advised Japanese utility, chemical and exploration companies on their future energy strategy and their global business operations. Before that she was in Wood Mackenzie supporting the upstream, coal and metals commodity clients. Earlier in her career, she was a consultant at Environmental Resources Management, designing groundwater remediation models in Japan.
Fluent in Japanese and English, Kaori holds a Master of Business Administration from McGill University in Canada.
Ken Koyama

Dr. Ken KOYAMA is Chief Economist and Senior Managing Director at the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ). He also takes a position of Visiting Professor at Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Tokyo and Adjunct Professor at Institute of Innovative Research at Tokyo Institute of Technology.
He was awarded the degree of: (1) B.A. in Economics in 1982 from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan; (2) M.A. in Economics in 1986 from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan; and (3) PhD in 2001 from University of Dundee, Dundee, Scotland. His specialized field of research is: energy security and geopolitics of energy; and analysis for global energy market and policy issues with emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region.
He has served as a member of energy policy related advisory councils and committees of Japanese government in many occasions. He also plays a role as: Member of the OPEC Energy Review Editorial Board, Visiting Senior Fellow at Institute for International Economic Studies and Board of Director at the Japan Electric Power Exchange.
He was awarded the Brand Laureate’s “Brand Personality Award 2016”, the 43rd “Energy Forum Award” in 2023 and “Kashiwagi Takao GXI Award” in 2023. He was also awarded the OPEC Award for Research in July 2023.
Lisy Lee

Lisy Lee is the Chief Representative of PETRONAS Beijing Representative Office and serves on the Board of several PETRONAS subsidiaries in China.
Her role is to drive the implementation of PETRONAS’ country strategies in China and secure sustainable growth in the market. She has been actively deepening business partnerships with long term partners and key stakeholders. She formalized multiple strategic alliances with Chinese NOCs for group level collaboration across value chain and serves as the secretariate directors to secure win-win collaboration and to realize value creation for PETRONAS in China and group at large.
Relying on more than 20 years business management experience, she has developed effective brand strategies to strengthen PETRONAS’ reputation and has led the team win multiple National Gold Prizes in Golden Flag Awards, China CSR Education Awards, and China International Public Relation Association for Outstanding CSR and Corporate culture & Internal Communication. She was also bestowed “Golden Flag Award for Best 100 Brand People” in China for her contribution and influence in the industry.
Lisy Lee graduated from East China Normal University and holds a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD with Deans’ Scholarship of Cultural Diversity.
Marina Md Taib

Marina brings over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, with a career spanning strategic planning, financial leadership, and international operations.
Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy at PETRONAS, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s long-term strategic direction and portfolio transformation, amidst the rapidly evolving energy landscape. Previously, Marina served as Vice President of Treasury, Head of Strategic Planning in the Petroleum Management Unit, and Country Manager in Brunei. She also holds multiple board positions across PETRONAS-linked companies.
Marina is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and an alumna of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Programme. She holds degrees from the University of Exeter and the University of Adelaide.
Throughout her career, Marina has remained passionate about empowering others and advancing sustainable, inclusive growth in the energy sector.
Mark Eramo

Mark Eramo is co-President of S&P Global Commodity Insights and a member of S&P Global’s Executive Leadership Team.
Most recently, Mr. Eramo was Head of Fuels, Chemicals & Resource Solutions business line for S&P Global Commodity Insights. In that role, he had P&L responsibility and managed a global team of 450 research colleagues, located in all major regions delivering information, insights, and forecasts regarding crude oil, refined products, NGLs and chemical feedstocks, chemicals, agriculture commodities, and freight and commodity shipping analytics.
Prior to that, Mr. Eramo served in various roles over the past 20+ years overseeing downstream industry research and business development teams for IHS Markit and predecessor companies. Before entering the consulting and analysis business, he worked for more than twelve years in the chemicals production industry.
Mr. Eramo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University, where he also enjoyed playing American football for the Big Red. Mr. Eramo and his wife have been residents of Houston, Texas, since 1991, where they recently celebrated becoming grandparents.
Mriganka Jaipuriyar

Mriganka has been with S&P Global for 22 years. She is currently Global Head for Metals and Agriculture News, a role she moved into in January 2025. Prior to this she was Head of the Asia News & Analysis team, in which she brought a unique cross-commodity and regional perspective to the business. She was Head of News for nine years, a time during which her team has expanded into new and exciting commodities markets such as biofuels, battery metals, carbon, and hydrogen, while retaining strong coverage of oil, LNG, metals, and grains. She provides strong cross-commodity regional expertise and thought leadership to the business and to clients. She holds a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Mumbai, and two Masters degrees, in Economics and in International Strategy and Diplomacy, from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Nicholas Yew

Nicholas leads the team which provides the long-term outlook of the downstream refined oil market for Asia and the Middle East which is bottom-up from the Country level. He has also experiences, both in the form of research and consulting, in multiple facets of the downstream segment, ranging from refining and retail fuel segments, to more niche segments such as aviation. The leads with Asia team on the Downstream Market Profile and Annual Strategic Workbook publications.
During his time with S&P Global, he has been involved in market outlook and entry strategy studies, assessing several Asian markets, spanning across multiple segments including transportation fuels, industrial fuels, aviation fuels, bunker fuels, and lubricants. Identified market entry opportunities and hurdles as well as best entry strategy. He was also a member of the Reinventing the Aircraft and the Ship study, looking at the feasibility of alternative fuels, including zero emission fuels, and their associated reduction in carbon emissions.
Nick Sharma

Nick Sharma is an Executive Director of Upstream Solutions at S&P Global Commodity Insights. Nick brings close to 25 years of E&P and energy industry experience. His current mandate is to engage customers with our latest regional and global upstream research to clients across the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to this role, Nick previously led the S&P Commodity Insights Asia Pacific upstream advisory practice for 7 years, working with a range of clients (NOCs, IOCs, Independents, Service Companies, Financial Services, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Ministry, and Regulators).
Nick holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Curtin University in Western Australia and Masters in Oil & Gas Engineering from the University of Western Australia.
Olivier Trecco

Olivier Trecco serves as Head of Sustainability Account Management, Asia Pacific, S&P Global Sustainable1. He previously was Head for Sustainability Solutions Sales, Asia Pacific Middle East & Africa, at S&P Global Market Intelligence.
Prior to joining S&P Global, Olivier worked over 11 years in the financial industry. His most recent position was Co-Head of the ESG Solutions Team at Natixis Investment Managers Solutions, where he focused in particular on the development of climate analytical & data capacities. Previously, Olivier worked both for Natixis CIB and Natixis Investment Managers in Solutions advisory roles, based in London and Paris, mainly dedicated to institutional clients. Prior to this, Olivier started his career by working on the funding of water and environmental projects in West and East Africa.
He graduated with a Master from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po Paris) and an MSc in Economics from the Paris School of Economics (PSE).

Paul Markwell

Mr Markwell is an independent energy advisor, supporting program design and moderation of sessions at CERAWeek with S&P Global, with a focus on technology and carbon management. He previously led global upstream insight business and consulting teams in IHS Markit over 17 years. He has advised various leading energy companies, governments and investors globally on corporate and technology strategies, energy policy and evaluation of low carbon businesses.
His background also includes over 20 years in Petroleum Engineering, Business Development and Country Manager roles with Shell International and British Borneo (acquired by ENI) in Europe and Asia and as an oil & gas specialist consultant and Practice Manager in McKinsey & Company.
Mr Markwell holds a BSc (Physics) from Imperial College London and an MBA from Henley Management College in the UK. He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute and an Honorary Fellow of Brunel University, London, where he has served as an independent member of Council.

Razman joined PETRONAS after being called to the Malaysian Bar in 1998 and has since served various functions within PETRONAS. He started in Legal Finance where he was involved in financing of projects followed by a few international postings for Sudan and was the pioneer team for Iraq operations. He was part of the pioneer team for Project RAPID, Pengerang in 2012 and subsequently he served as General Counsel of Legal Upstream International in charge of legal affairs of PETRONAS international upstream business until 2017.
Prior to assuming his current position, he served as Senior General Counsel, Legal Upstream from 2017 where he was responsible for the entire legal services for PETRONAS upstream business, both in Malaysia and globally.
He was appointed as Senior Vice President, Group Legal & Group General Counsel of PETRONAS in 2021. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Shariah from the International Islamic University of Malaysia and is a licensed Company Secretary.

He previously served PETRONAS for 25 years, starting as a Process & Operations Engineer with PETRONAS Ammonia Sdn Bhd. Shah has held various corporate portfolios within the Petrochemical Business Unit including business strategy, planning, and development.
Shah also served tenures in PETRONAS Australia Pty Ltd in Australia and Pacific Northwest LNG in Canada where he gained extensive international experience leading commercial, joint venture management and project integration functions.
He later headed the Downstream Digital unit, reporting to the Executive Vice President of Downstream, where he initiated innovation and digital transformation efforts that led to the introduction of SETEL and ROVR, PETRONAS’ first-ever incubated start-ups. From there, Shah moved on to lead innovation and agile transformation efforts at the PETRONAS Group-level, paving the way for several new growth verticals for PETRONAS.
In 2021, Shah was appointed as PETRONAS’ Head of Corporate Strategic Planning. Shortly thereafter, he became Head of Clean Energy Solutions Transition and was responsible for the creation and operationalisation of Gentari, as a PETRONAS spin-off entity offering integrated clean energy solutions.
Shah graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom and completed the INSEAD Management Development Program.

She is responsible for leading global gas research and overseeing a team of close to 100 researchers who develop comprehensive regional gas and LNG analyses. She initiated the company’s hydrogen and low carbon gas research team many years ago. Prior to joining S&P Global, she was Head of Energy Fundamentals at Centrica in the United Kingdom. Shankari holds a BA from Brown University, an MSc from New York University, and a MSc (PhD candidate) from the University of Pennsylvania, all in energy economics and applied sciences.

He has 21 years techno-commercial experience in PETRONAS. In 2002, he started his career in operations management, technical services, production planning and project management in Kertih Refinery, before moving on to commercial roles in business planning and sales & marketing in PETRONAS Chemical Group. In 2015, Wan Sayuti joined Corporate Strategic Planning (CSP), led and developed several corporate strategic studies and PETRONAS new growth opportunities. Subsequently in 2020, he was seconded to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva, Switzerland as a Project Fellow in Shaping the Future of Energy and Materials.
