Chengyao Peng

Chengyao Peng is director at S&P Global Commodity Insight and a member of the thought leadership group in global power and renewables, with a focus on Asia Pacific and China in particular. Ms. Peng has deep domain knowledge in electric power, clean energy, and especially renewable energy industry, specializing in market fundamentals analysis and forecasting, market design and policy analysis, business models, company strategies, and technology trends. Ms. Peng has over 15 years of experience in leading strategy, marketing, product management and commercialization in multinational organizations, state owned enterprises, and government agencies.
Prior to joining S&P Global Commodity Insight, formerly IHS Markit, Ms. Peng spent 10 years at GE, both in the US and China, and took on various strategy, marketing, and commercial roles across energy, gas-fired power, distributed power, and renewable energy businesses. She most recently served as strategy director in GE Renewable Energy where she oversaw both commercial and product strategies for onshore wind in APAC. Earlier, she was an assistant general manager for eco technologies planning and investment at Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Investment and Development Co. Prior to that, she worked as a program manager at Singapore’s Public Utilities Board. Ms. Peng holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Tongji University, China, a master’s degree in environmental science from Stanford University, California, and a Ph.D in civil engineering from Beijing University of Technology, China. She is based in Beijing.
Joyce Wang

Joyce Wang is Director of Automotive Technology & Aftermarket at S&P Global Mobility, focusing on technology trend forecasts and aftermarket analysis.
With 13 years of working experience in the automotive industry, Joyce specializes in supply chain analysis, opportunity identification and assessment, technology strategy for OEM product planning. Joyce has initially led component and technology research in China, later moving on to lead a team of 11 analysts in China, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. In past two years, Joyce has conducted several OEM workshops to support clients identifying market trends and business opportunities. In her current capacity, Joyce lead product innovation in aftermarket to support aftermarket players capture new business and improve supply chain management.

Jenny Yang
Senior Director, Greater China Gas, Power and Energy Future

Jenny Yang, Director, leads market analysis on Greater China natural and low-carbon gases at S&P Global Commodity Insights. Based in Singapore, Ms. Yang’s recent research includes China’s energy market reforms, Chinese companies’ LNG procurement strategies, the impacts of China’s gas demand and related policies on the global gas and LNG market, and the potential role of hydrogen in China’s energy mix under the government’s carbon emissions reduction ambition. She regularly presents and moderates C-level executive dialogs at industry conferences including CERAWeek, LNG and Hydrogen Gas Market Forum, International Energy Executive Forum, and Asia Gas Forum. Ms. Yang also has extensive knowledge of electricity load forecast and peak demand management, pricing and structuring of electricity products, power retail operations, and electricity market deregulation. Prior to joining S&P Global, she was vice president of pricing, products, and markets at Constellation NewEnergy in Houston, Texas. Earlier, she was a quantitative analyst at Williams Companies, where she produced forward-looking price and volatility curves for energy-related trading commodities. Ms. Yang holds a Bachelor of Business and Administration and a Master of Business and Administration from the University of Oklahoma, United States.
Kaori Tachibana
Associate Director, Climate and Sustainability

Kaori Tachibana is an associate director on the Gas, Power, and Energy Futures team at S&P Global Commodity Insights and is based in Japan.
Kaori covers the power, gas, and renewable markets in Japan, looking at supply/demand balances, infrastructure developments, policy developments, and pricing outlooks. Kaori’s expertise includes a deep understanding of the Japanese market. Previously, at Accenture, she advised Japanese utility, chemical, and exploration companies on their future strategy and their global business operations. Before that she was with Wood Mackenzie supporting upstream, coal, and metals commodity clients. Earlier in her career, she was a consultant at Environmental Resources Management, evaluating environmental impact assessments, overseeing soil and groundwater investigations, and designing groundwater remediation models in Japan.
Fluent in Japanese and English, Kaori holds a Master of Business Administration from McGill University, Canada.
Mark Jelinek
Director, Energy Transitions and Cleantech Consulting

His expertise includes strategic planning for oil and gas assets, directing capital investment in support of production and strategy plans, and corporate strategy in the energy industry. Recently, Mark led a major program with a global IOC’s Technology group to understand long-term technology impact on oil and gas resources globally, developing frameworks to assess technology impact and application of those frameworks to major hydrocarbon provinces – the framework was rolled out for a number of countries.
Mark also led the Oil and Gas supply team in S&P Global developing country and global supply outlooks and analysis. Previously, he was a senior consultant in Oil and Gas, with Strategic Decision Group prior to its acquisition by S&P Global.
Mark holds a Master of Engineering from Imperial College, London, UK, and he is fluent in Farsi, Czech, French, and German.
Nick Lowes

Nick Lowes, Consulting Vice President, S&P Global leads Energy Transition & Cleantech consulting activities and has over 35 years’ experience across the energy sector. Based in London, he currently focuses on providing advisory services to governments, investors and energy companies related to climate change, energy transition and low carbon technologies. Over his career he has worked as an advisor on issues ranging from energy policy and strategy development to investment analysis and due diligence. He has led reorganization and process re-engineering exercises and has designed & implemented management systems. Mr. Lowes holds a BA in engineering sciences from Cambridge University; an MBA from the UK Open University Business School; and an MSc from Imperial College, London University. He is a Member of the UK Energy Institute.
Rajiv Narang

Rajiv Narang is Director of Process Economics Program, based out of New Delhi at S&P Global Commodity Insights. Rajiv is based out of New Delhi, India presently working as Director of Process Economics Program, at S&P Global Commodity Insights.
He has worked over the last 30 years with various Energy Companies and Consultancies, like Bechtel, Fluor, Petrofac, ONGC and GAIL, during which he has travelled and worked in many countries. He has designed has operated Gas Processing complexes, Refinery Units, Coal Gasification, Sulfur Recovery, Merox, Delayed Coker, and Offshore oil, gas and water injection facilities. He is presently leading the India Process Economics Program, and contributes to Techno-Economic studies on Chemicals, Refinery Technologies, and Natural Gas Processing. Rajiv has authored reports on Coal Gasification, IMO 2020 options for stake holders, Refinery Integration, Sulfur removal, and Sulfuric Acid and Lubricating Base Oils. He is presently working on Membrane Technologies to clean up high H2S natural gas.
He has served as Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Northern India Chapter. He is a senior member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), Chartered Engineer in UK, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers, (IChemE) UK.
Rajiv completed his undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and holds a MBA degree. His technical papers have been published in many conferences and international journals.
